SO Series - So Grotty
|
We're halfway to the finish when I notice something ... Ol's gym shorts have started to ease down. There's more bum crack than a herd of hipsters ... with every step the shorts retreat further. Ollie's showing more groove than Grandpa's gramophone records.
What do giant cockroaches, cheese races, a princess with smelly feet and a boy with a bed-wetting problem have in common? Absolutely nothing except they're sure to make you split your sides laughing. Just when you think you're safe, along comes 'So Grotty!'.
For Gus Gordon illustrating 'So Gross!', 'So Feral!', 'So Sick!' and 'So Festy!' was just a warm-up. In 'So Grotty!' he really gets down and lets rip. Way to go, Gus! |

So Grotty!
By J.A. Mawter, Illustrated by Gus Gordon
Dear Mr Mawter,
When I started reading your book I thought it was going to be boring. But when I read the first paragraph I thought different and I really got into it. I love the part with the infants sports carnival bit. I think your books are spectacular because you keep them interesting.

So Grotty! is a hilariously funny, mega stinky book that I enjoyed reading very much. It is made up of silly little stories, each grotty in its own individual way! Athletics Day was one of my favourites. …In conclusion I recommend this book for children 8+, and any immature adult who likes to have a good laugh about the most ridiculous things!
